The Bharatpur Hospital has made 400 general beds of the Outpatient Department (OPD) service free.
As per the directive of the Ministry of Health and Population, the hospital has made available the free beds services since August 18 (Friday) onward.
Issuing a statement on Thursday, Spokesperson of the hospital, senior physician Dr Govinda Kandel informed that the hospital has started providing beds freely.
He shared that minimum service charge however has been kept as it was for critical care (ICU, CCU, PICU and NICU), post-operative ward, cabin, HDU, spine, cardiac, neurosurgery and orthopedic ward.
The hospital now has 600 beds. The OPD service tickets are also free in the hospital. Patients from across the country turn up to receive treatment in Bharatpur hospital.
Information Officer Gopal Poudel shared daily 1,500 to 2,000 patients are visiting the hospital for treatment of late.
Gurung elected in Nature Guide Association
Anil Kumar Gurung has been elected the chair of Nature Guide Association Chitwan. The 23rd Annual General Meeting and convention of the Association held in Sauraha on Friday elected a new working committee.
The Association is an organization of nature guide who have been working being based on the Chitwan National Park.
Four candidates were in race for the presidential position. Likewise, Ramgiri Prasad Chaudhary was elected the vice-chairperson of the committee.
Other unanimously elected office-bearers are Om Prakash Thapa (secretary), Pushpa raj Pathak (treasurer) and Dilip Subedi, Jitendra Kumar Singh, Samjhana Acharya Tiwari, Susmita Neupane, Santosh Chhetri Bhatta, Sanjaya Dahakal and Bardi Prasad Aryal (members), informed former chair of the Association, Bishnu Thapa.
