JSP Chair Yadav, Nawal Kishor sworn-in as ministers

The Janata Samajbadi Party (JSP) has joined the government after two ministers including Chairman Upendra Yadav took the oath of office and secrecy on Sunday.

JSP Chairman Yadav has been sworn-in as the Deputy Prime Minister and the Minister for Health and Population amidst a ceremony at the Office of the President in Sheetal Niwas.

Similarly, Nawal Kishor Sah took the oath of Office and Secrecy as the Minister for Forests and Environment.

Chair Yadav himself joined the Prachanda-led government formed under the new five-party alliance comprising the CPN (UML), Rastriya Swatantra Party (RS), Janata Samajbadi Party (JSP) and CPN (Unified Socialist).

The JSP had not sent its ministers to the coalition government formed following the formation of the new alliance created last Monday.
