In the incident that occurred in Ward No 26 of Lalitpur Metropolitan City, the suspects involved have been publicly disclosed by the police.
On Sunday night, amidst playing Holi and having snacks, some youths at The Popena Restaurant in Dholahiti consumed alcohol. When a dispute arose, two individuals were killed.
Today, the District Police Office Lalitpur publicly disclosed the main four accused involved in the incident during a press conference.
The arrested eatery operator, Kotang Sakela of Sankhuwasabha Municipality-2, along with Bijay Rai and Sulabh Rai from the same place, and Bishal Hang Mukarung from Bhojpur Tamkemayung-2, and Chenbihang Rai from Gokarneshwar Kathmandu were publicly disclosed.
The District Police Office Lalitpur spokesperson, DSP Naresh Raj Subedi, said the investigation is ongoing. According to the police, Bijay Rai, who has been arrested, was previously convicted in a drug case and had served a two-year jail sentence.
It has been informed that eight other individuals have also been brought under control by the police for further investigation into the incident.
