Two people died in a Bolero jeep accident in the inner road section of Anbukhaireni Rural Municipality-1, of Tanahun district on Monday morning.
According to the District Police Office, Tanahun, the deceased have been identified as 72-year-old Asbir Gurung of Anbukhaireni Rural Municipality-6, Chhapiswanra, and 17-year-old Tulasi Gurung of Byas Municipality-9 Gajoude.
Asbir died on the spot while Tulasi was being treated at New Medical College in Chitwan.
A Bolero jeep, Ba 18 cha 5921, carrying people met with an accident this morning in the inner road section of Baradi-Hilekharka. Sixteen people sustained injuries in the accident.
According to the police, 15-year-old Subina Gurung of Anbukhaireni Rural Municipality-6, Pughar, 67-year-old Man Bahadur Gurung of the same place, 38-year-old Sukmaya Gurung, 6-year-old, Elisa Gurung, 19-year-old Sabita Gurung and 10-year-old Shishir Gurung of Bandipur Rural Municipality-3, Sukhaura, were injured in the accident. The injured are being treated at Anbukhaireni Hospital.
Similarly, 56-year-old Somlal Gurung of Ambukhaireni-6, 70-year-old Bhakkulal Gurung of Pugharphant, 56-year-old Sher Bahadur Gurung, 36-year-old Asmaya Gurung, 10-year-old Diksha Gurung, 52-year-old Sete Gurung, 38-year-old Rajkumar Bishwakarma of jeep driver of Ambukhaireni-1 Giranchaur, Anbukhaireni- 36-year-old Chijkumari Gurung, 18-month-old Sushan Gurung and 37-year-old Sunita Gurung of 6 Chhapaswanra were injured.
According to the police, they are being treated at New Medical College in Chitwan.
According to the police, the accident happened when the jeep went out of control and fell down about 500 meters from the road.
